Alternatives to Earkick, and what to look for.

Earkick’s status is mixed in the sources. Here is what is reported, what Earkick’s own pages show, and what to check before relying on it or replacing it.

In short

Earkick’s availability is unclear as of 2026-10-30. Common Sense Media reports it was removed from the App Store in April 2026 without notice to users, while Earkick’s own site still links a download and a free web chat. Check your store. TwentyThird is a different kind of tool and a partial alternative.

Who designs the agent

  • TwentyThirdWhere TwentyThird is limited

What to look for

Ten questions for a replacement.

The last one matters more after a closure.

  1. Who designed the agent, and can you find their name and qualifications?
  2. Who is responsible for what it says, and is that written down?
  3. Can any human see what you write, and who decides?
  4. Is every message checked for risk, and is a person alerted when it matters?
  5. What does it say it will not do?
  6. What evidence exists, and is it about this product or about something similar?
  7. Where is your data stored, and which companies process it?
  8. What does it cost after the trial, and how do you cancel?
  9. Can you export or delete everything you wrote?
  10. What happens to your data and your access if the company closes?
Where TwentyThird fits

A partial alternative, stated plainly.

TwentyThird does not offer

  • Scripted exercises from a named therapy method.
  • A person alerted when you are in danger. Today none is. Contact local emergency services; in the EU, call 112.
  • A medical-device certification. TwentyThird has none.
  • A service that keeps data wholly inside the EU. AI replies are written outside the EU.

TwentyThird may fit if you want

  • Written conversations with an agent that follows what repeats across weeks.
  • The option of a licensed psychologist configuring the agent (early access).
  • An agent that says plainly it is an AI and not your therapist.
Questions

Common questions, answered.

Is Earkick still available?

The sources disagree. Common Sense Media reports Earkick was removed from the App Store in April 2026. Earkick’s own site, on 2026-10-30, still linked an App Store download and a free web chat and did not mention closure. We cannot tell whether it installs in your country; check your store.

Is TwentyThird an alternative to Earkick?

Partly. Earkick’s listing describes an AI self-care app with mood tracking, breathing and CBT exercises. TwentyThird is a psychodynamic AI for self-understanding that is not therapy and does not offer scripted exercises. If you want those, it is not like-for-like.

What does Earkick say about diagnosis and crisis?

Its App Store listing states that Earkick does not offer any diagnostic measurements or treatment advice and tells people in a crisis to reach out to doctors. TwentyThird likewise does not diagnose or treat, and is not a crisis service.

What should I look for in a replacement?

Ask who designed it, who is responsible for what it says, what a human can see, what is checked for risk, what it will not do, the evidence, where data goes, the real price, export and deletion, and what happens if the company closes.

If you are in danger, contact local emergency services now — 112 anywhere in the EU. TwentyThird is not an emergency service. How safety works
